Job summary

TEC Partners Limited seeks an AI Security & Governance Workstream Lead for a major cyber security transformation project. The role focuses on shaping and delivering the organisation’s AI security and governance agenda, enabling responsible AI adoption across a distributed environment.

The position requires experience leading AI/tech projects, strong governance capabilities, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders. It is a contract role with IR35 considerations and a 6‑month horizon.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex cyber, technology, or AI-related projects in large, distributed organisations.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML, agentic systems, AI security risks, and data governance principles.
• Experience designing governance frameworks, policies, and regulatory compliance measures.
• Excellent stakeholder management and programme delivery skills with ability to influence senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the AI Security & Governance Workstream from initiation to business-as-usual, defining scope, plans and milestones.
• Establish AI governance frameworks, policies, and an enterprise AI inventory covering models, tools, and data flows.
• Implement AI security controls, monitor risks, and ensure compliance with emerging regulations such as the EU AI Act.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and third-party vendors to deliver outcomes and embed sustainable practices.

Location: Reading 2 days p/week; 3 days remote

Type: Contract, Inside IR35, 6 Months

Rate: £705 p/day (umbrella rate)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the workstream from initiation to business-as-usual, defining scope, plans, and milestones
• Establish AI governance frameworks, policies, and an enterprise AI inventory covering models, tools, and data flows
• Implement AI security controls, monitor risks, and ensure compliance with emerging regulations such as the EU AI Act
