Job summary

Checkout.com is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer I to bridge cyber security and AI technologies. You will design and implement security controls for AI/ML solutions, assess risks, and help embed governance and resilience across AI tooling, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Data Governance, GRC and business teams to secure AI at scale, stay ahead of AI security risks, and explore how AI can enhance cyber operations while ensuring regulatory

Qualifications

Experience in cyber security engineering, security architecture, or related role.
Strong understanding of identity and access management, cloud security, app security, data protection, logging, monitoring, and incident response.
Knowledge of AI/ML and LLM concepts, including model deployment patterns, APIs, embeddings, vector stores, prompts, and AI security risks.

Responsibilities

Design and implement security controls for AI/ML solutions, including LLM-based apps and cloud infrastructure.
Assess security, privacy, and compliance risks of AI systems, including prompt injection, data leakage, and third-party AI services.
Develop standards and guardrails for secure AI use across the organization.
Review AI use cases and deployments for compliance with policies and governance.
Build monitoring, detection, and response for AI-related threats and misuse.
