  • Define and maintain the AI adoption roadmap, balancing strategic ambition with business readiness, colleague capability, technology constraints, governance requirements and the bank’s risk appetite.
Business Readiness & Behavioural Adoption:
  • Design and deliver the business readiness approach required to support successful AI adoption, including stakeholder engagement, change impact assessment, communications, guidance, training and transition planning.
  • Ensure business teams understand what is changing, why it matters, how AI tools should be used, what controls apply and what support is available to them.
  • Develop practical adoption pathways for different colleague groups, including senior leaders, business users, champions, makers and specialist teams.
  • Establish feedback loops with business areas to understand adoption blockers, capability gaps, process impacts and opportunities for further enablement.
AI Delivery & Operating Model:
  • Design the operating model for how AI-enabled solutions, agents and automations are identified, built, tested, approved, published, maintained and retired.
  • Define clear roles and responsibilities across business teams, AI, technology, security, governance, risk and data stakeholders.
  • Establish practical pathways for champion-led, citizen-developer and centrally supported delivery models, ensuring each pathway has appropriate guardrails, support and oversight.
  • Define build, publish and environment permissions for Copilot Studio and related platforms, aligned to the bank’s security, governance and licensing requirements.
Governance, Risk, Security & Controls:
  • Ensure AI adoption is delivered in line with the bank’s AI governance framework, risk management expectations and wider control environment.
  • Translate governance, security, data protection, conduct, operational resilience and responsible AI considerations into practical requirements for implementation.
  • Identify gaps in required controls, guidance, assurance processes or technical safeguards, and work with accountable teams to close these before scale.
Colleague Enablement & Capability Building:
  • Build and support an AI champion network across the bank, enabling colleagues to identify opportunities, share good practice and support responsible adoption within their business areas.
  • Develop practical guidance, playbooks, templates, training materials and communities of practice to help colleagues use AI tools safely and effectively.
  • Support business areas in building confidence and capability, ensuring colleagues understand both the benefits and limitations of AI.
  • Promote a consistent standard of responsible AI use, including appropriate human oversight, data handling, prompt discipline, output validation and escalation.
Technical Coordination, Commercial Awareness & Prioritisation:

  • Work closely with architecture, engineering, data, security, risk and delivery teams to unblock implementation, manage dependencies and align delivery activity.
  • Understand licensing, consumption, support and platform cost considerations associated with M365 Copilot, Copilot Studio and other AI tooling, and reflect these in rollout planning.
