AI Quant Researcher

The Company:

Millennium Global Investments (www.millenniumglobal.com) is an independent currency investment management specialist with USD 26bn in group hedged assets. The Millennium Global group is comprised of both Millennium Global Investments and MillTechFX (www.milltechfx.com). MillTechFX provides execution and hedging services via its unique technology-driven FX-as-a-Service offering.

The Role:

The AI Quant Researcher role encompasses a range of responsibilities, including:

1. Conducting research and analysis on various types of data (semi-structured and unstructured) using advanced modelling, machine learning, and AI techniques.
2. Transforming data insights into actionable investment signals to enhance currency risk management and assist with the development of currency strategies.
3. Developing and automating AI, machine learning, and investment workflow pipelines in the cloud.
4. Keeping abreast of the latest advancements in AI and machine learning research and developments.

Skills:

In addition to strong quantitative skills (Mathematics, Quantitative Finance, Physics, Computer Science, or Engineering), that are a pre-requisite, the position also requires:

1. Machine Learning and AI: Experience with machine learning and AI techniques or a strong willingness to learn quickly.
2. Python and Data Structures: Proficiency in Python programming, including the use of standard Python packages such as NumPy, Pandas, and scikit-learn. Familiarity with data structures, algorithms, and understanding time and space complexity is essential.
3. Frameworks and tools: Experience with LlamaIndex and LangChain Frameworks.
4. Advanced Technologies: Understanding and experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Graph Databases, etc.
5. Cloud Services: Experience with cloud services, preferably AWS.
6. DevOps Tools: Experience with DevOps tools such as Docker.

Requirements:

The successful candidate is likely to have:

A degree in a quantitative field from a reputable university, ideally with a focus on computer science or a discipline involving significant quantitative and programming components. Proficiency with Python programming is essential, along with expertise in applying machine learning (ML), deep learning (DL), or natural language processing (NLP) techniques.
