AI Quant Researcher

The Role:
The AI Quant Researcher role encompasses a range of responsibilities, including:
- Conducting research and analysis on various types of data (semi-structured, and unstructured) using advanced modelling, machine learning and AI techniques.
- Transforming data insights into actionable investment signals to enhance currency risk management and assist with the development of currency strategies.
- Developing and automating AI, machine learning, and investment workflow pipelines in the cloud.
- Keeping abreast of the latest advancements in AI, machine learning research and developments.
Skills:
In addition to strong quantitative skills (Mathematics, Quantitative Finance, Physics, Computer Science, or Engineering), that are a pre-requisite, the position also requires:
- Machine Learning and AI: Experience with machine learning and AI techniques or a strong willingness to learn with quickly.
- Python and Data Structures: Proficiency in Python programming, including the use of standard python packages such as NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn. Familiarity with data structures, algorithms, and understanding time and space complexity is essential.
- Frameworks and tools: Experience with LlamaIndex, LangChain Frameworks.
- Advanced Technologies: Understanding and experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Graph Databases etc.
- Cloud Services: Experience with cloud services, preferably AWS.
- DevOps Tools: Experience with DevOps such as Docker.
Requirements:
The successful candidate is likely to have:
A degree in a quantitative field from a reputable university, ideally with a focus on computer science or a discipline involving significant quantitative and programming components. Proficiency with Python programming is essential, along with expertise in applying machine learning (ML), deep learning (DL), or natural language processing (NLP) techniques.
