About The Opportunity

• Outlier seeks talented writers fluent in English to help train generative AI models.
• This reading and writing-intensive freelance role is remote with flexible hours, allowing you to work at your convenience.

Your Contributions

• Reading English texts to rank AI-generated responses.
• Writing and revising prompts and responses, including research and fact-checking.
• Assessing the factuality and relevance of AI-produced text.

Desired Expertise

• Professional writing or editing experience.
• Enrolled in or completed a bachelor’s degree or higher in a writing-related discipline.
• Strong writing style, excellent English spelling and grammar, with good logic and reasoning skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to clearly explain the strengths and weaknesses of texts.

Payment

• Core project work pays approximately USD $25/hour for English writing experts in the US.
• Rates vary based on expertise, location, and project needs. Higher rates may be offered for PhDs or specialized skills. Additional phases like onboarding or overtime may have different rates. Incentive payments may also be available.
