Job summary

Mercor is partnering with a leading AI research organization to understand how people build with AI coding assistants. We’re looking for builders who run their own projects, from experienced developers to non-coders who build with AI, to work with OpenCode, a terminal-based coding assistant.

Sessions are recorded for study and improvement. Participants will select models for each task, work on their own real project, and document progress in a single chat per task.

Qualifications

• Actively building a real project (side project, startup, app, or LLM-powered feature).
• Uses AI tools to build, such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Cline, Replit, or Lovable.
• Comfortable following simple terminal setup steps on Mac or Linux.
• Professional coding experience is welcome but not required; non-coders who build with AI are encouraged to apply.
