Zygo People is seeking a senior data science professional to own the PoC cycle for risk analytics and venture ideas. You will shape ideas from data behind VaR and CVaR, building proofs of concept and turning them into client-ready services, including charting and commentary.

The role involves working across London, Paris, or Hong Kong with a mix of office and remote collaboration, and requires strong Python and business persuasion to push ideas forward.

Are you a data scientist with more product ideas than anyone around you has time to hear?

Have you built proofs of concept on risk or multi-asset data, and want to decide what’s worth building next, rather than just building what you’re handed?

You’d be joining a global fintech scale-up, backed by a global private equity firm.

Institutional investors use its platform to analyse quantitative investment strategies, construct portfolios and manage risk. The business sits on a huge amount of raw strategy and client portfolio data.

The next step is an intelligence layer on top of it, made up of commentaries, insights, analysis and visualisation, packaged for buy side and sell side clients.

There’s already an AI team executing. What’s missing is the person who works out what’s worth testing, proves it with a POC and sells the idea.

About the Role

Your first project is the data behind the business’s value-at-risk metrics (VaR and CVaR). You’ll pull as much insight from it as possible and turn that into a service clients can buy, from commentaries to charting and visualisation.

Day to day, you’ll come up with ideas, build POCs and make the case for the ones worth pushing through.
