Job description

Product Designer - AI & Emerging Tech

About Us

Every day, we push beyond expectations to help millions of people save money, at a time when it's never mattered more. Through MoneySuperMarket, MoneySavingExpert, Quidco and our B2B partnerships we supply products to more than 24 million unique monthly visitors, helping UK households to save billions of pounds a year. Can you tell this is something we're exceptionally proud of!

Creative, collaborative, ambitious - it's hard work. But what makes it worth it? Leaving work knowing we've made a difference to our customers, users, and to each other.

Put our distinct brands together with our dedicated colleagues and you've got a workplace with lots of personality. We're open-minded, diverse, and love our differences. Everyone plays a part, and comes together to work hard, go beyond, and make sure everyone feels they belong.

About The Role

We're seeking a seasoned Product Designer with a passion for intelligent systems, AI-driven experiences, and future-facing UX. In this role, you will lead the exploration and delivery of meaningful, responsible human-AI interactions, helping us shape what's next for customers via Infusion or Agentic AI driven experiences starting with MoneySuperMarket, but working with all three brands.

You'll partner closely with cross-functional teams-product, engineering, data science-to embed AI capabilities in ways that feel intuitive, ethical, and valuable for the immediate team and cross team within the group. You'll work across the full product lifecycle, helping our customers save money through smart, empowering design.

Key Responsibilities

Human-AI Experience Design
  • Champion the design of AI-enhanced features, including predictive UIs, generative workflows, and conversational interfaces.
  • Translate complex machine learning concepts into simple, useful, and inclusive user experiences.
  • Define and uphold ethical AI interaction patterns, working closely with our design standards and governance model.
  • Prototype, test, and validate human-AI interactions using appropriate fidelity for stage and audience.
  • Collaborate with data scientists to understand model boundaries, explainability, and failure states.
Strategic & Holistic Design
  • Contribute to product strategy by identifying where AI can deliver transformative value.
  • Work across end-to-end journeys, ensuring AI solutions support the broader experience, not just isolated features.
  • Drive maturity of our internal design system, including AI-related patterns and interactions.
  • Participate in evolving governance processes for design standards-particularly around source files, working practices, and accessibility.
Mentorship & Influence
  • Act as a design advocate in your space, mentoring peers and supporting others to adopt AI-related workflows.
  • Facilitate workshops and experimental review sessions that spark curiosity and cross-pollination of ideas.
  • Champion inclusive practices in both design output and team culture.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Represent the design function confidently in high-trust, technical conversations across the business.
  • Present design concepts clearly to stakeholders of varying technical fluency.
  • Proactively collaborate with product managers, engineers, and analysts to align goals and ship quality.
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience in product design, including demonstrable work on AI-integrated user experiences and delivering products at scale.
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML capabilities and constraints, with an emphasis on responsible, ethical design for intelligent systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate broad, conceptual ideas into desirable, usable, and measurable experiences that support user and business goals.
  • Fluency in Figma, the Adobe Creative Suite, and modern prototyping tools (e.g., Figma Make, Framer, Loveable, Replit or equivalent); skilled in using these for both design and interactive validation.
  • Proven experience designing for iOS, Android, and responsive web environments, including cross-platform solutions.
  • Hands-on experience as a Product Designer or AI UX Designer in a fast-paced, disciplined product environment.
  • Deep proficiency in conducting user validation using both quantitative and qualitative research methods and applying these insights to inform design.
  • Strong systems thinking mindset, with experience evolving and maintaining large-scale enterprise design systems.
  • A bias for action and the drive to identify product opportunities, resolve pain points, and improve the user experience iteratively.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, able to bring clarity through storytelling, design rationale, and evidence-based decision making.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to contribute to product vision, articulate design trade-offs, and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
WHAT REWARDS ARE ON OFFER
  • Up to 27 holidays + bank holidays
  • Pension up to 6% employer contribution
  • Bonus scheme
  • Digital Doctor on demand
  • Work from anywhere scheme - 2 weeks per year
  • Financial coaching
  • Mental health platform access
