Department/Division: Solutions/Innovation

Duration: Permanent

Type of Role: Hybrid

Reference number: 10865

The Team

The Innovation & AI team sits within the Solutions function and is responsible for identifying, developing and scaling innovative solutions, including AI and legal technology, to enhance client service delivery and internal efficiency. The team works closely with IT, Office of the General Counsel (OGC), Procurement, Solutions/Helix and Practice Groups to identify opportunities, develop and pilot solutions, and embed new tools and ways of working across the firm.

The Role

The AI Product Delivery Advisor plays a central role in the delivery and operation of the firm’s Innovation & AI portfolio, supporting initiatives from initial opportunity and discovery through development, pilot, launch, adoption and ongoing improvement.

The role combines operational ownership with hands‑on involvement in product and solution delivery. Working closely with lawyers, business services teams and technical colleagues, the Delivery Advisor will understand legal and business workflows, structure requirements, coordinate delivery and ensure Innovation & AI initiatives progress effectively from idea to implementation.

The Delivery Advisor owns key operational processes and defined delivery workstreams across the Innovation & AI function, including intake and pipeline management, pilot delivery, portfolio oversight, governance and adoption. The role also contributes directly to product discovery and delivery, translating user needs into clear requirements, supporting prioritisation and scope decisions, and coordinating testing and feedback.

Acting as a key interface between legal users, Innovation & AI colleagues, technical teams and other business functions, the Delivery Advisor brings structure, momentum and visibility to a fast-moving portfolio of activity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and continuously improve the Innovation & AI intake and pipeline process, working with lawyers and business stakeholders to understand legal workflows, user needs and opportunities, structure incoming requests and determine appropriate next steps.
  • Lead the operational delivery of defined AI and legal technology initiatives from discovery through pilot, testing, launch and ongoing improvement, establishing clear plans, milestones, responsibilities, dependencies and success measures and driving activity through to completion.
  • Translate legal and business needs into clear requirements and delivery plans, supporting product discovery, workflow analysis, requirements gathering, user stories, prioritisation and scope decisions to ensure solutions address genuine user needs and deliver measurable value.
  • Own the operational oversight of the Innovation & AI portfolio, maintaining visibility of priorities, progress, risks, dependencies and upcoming decisions, and using portfolio insight to identify blockers, emerging themes and areas requiring intervention.
  • Act as a key interface between lawyers, Innovation & AI colleagues, technical teams and third‑party vendors, ensuring requirements are clearly communicated, decisions are progressed and cross‑functional dependencies are actively managed through to resolution.
  • Lead the operational delivery of pilots, testing and product validation, defining objectives and success measures, coordinating users and stakeholders, gathering and analysing feedback and usage data, and translating findings into clear recommendations and next steps.
  • Drive launch, adoption and continuous improvement of AI and legal technology solutions, coordinating operational readiness, communications and engagement, monitoring adoption and user feedback, and identifying opportunities to improve solutions and increase their impact.
  • Own and improve the operational processes and governance that underpin Innovation & AI delivery, working across IT, OGC, Procurement, Solutions/Helix and Practice Groups to progress approvals, improve ways of working, maintain appropriate controls and develop scalable approaches as the firm's use of AI and legal technology grows.
Key Skills & Experience
  • Experience in operations, project or product delivery, business analysis, innovation, transformation or a related role, ideally involving technology‑enabled change.
  • Demonstrable experience taking ownership of workstreams, initiatives or operational processes and driving activity through to completion.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to understand complex workflows and translate them into clear requirements, actions and outcomes.
  • Experience gathering, clarifying and documenting user or business requirements.
  • Strong organizational and delivery skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives, stakeholders and dependencies.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to drive actions, challenge constructively and work effectively across legal, business and technical teams.
  • Ability to bring structure and clarity to ambiguous or evolving problems, exercise sound judgement and determine practical next steps.
  • Comfortable working with data, reporting and tracking tools and using information to identify trends, measure progress and support decision‑making.
  • Comfortable working with technical teams and developing an understanding of how technology products and solutions are designed, built and delivered.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability, with the ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Practical interest in, and understanding of, AI, innovation and legal technology.
Preferred
  • Experience working within a professional services, legal or corporate environment.
  • Experience of, or demonstrable exposure to, product management, innovation, legal technology, AI or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience managing or coordinating technology products, pilots, Proofs of Technology or implementation workstreams.
  • Experience conducting user discovery, workflow analysis, requirements gathering, user testing or feedback sessions.
  • Experience working with product requirements, roadmaps, backlogs, user stories, acceptance criteria or Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Experience designing or improving operational processes and ways of working.
  • Experience supporting technology launches, adoption or change initiatives.
  • Experience working with governance, risk, technology, procurement or information security processes.
  • Experience analyzing operational, product, user or adoption data and translating findings into recommendations.
  • Experience using collaboration, product management and tracking tools such as Microsoft 365, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Jira or similar.
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience in business, law, technology, operations, product management or a related field.
Personal Attributes
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability, taking responsibility for workstreams and following activity through to an outcome.
  • Proactive and self‑directed, able to identify what needs to happen next and progress activity without requiring detailed instruction.
  • Curious and user‑focused, with a strong interest in understanding problems and how people work before developing solutions.
  • Comfortable operating with ambiguity and creating structure where requirements, technologies or ways of working are still evolving.
  • Confident progressing actions, resolving blockers and constructively challenging stakeholders where necessary.
  • Collaborative, with the ability to build credible and effective relationships across legal, business and technical teams.
  • Demonstrates a practical problem‑solving and continuous improvement mindset, with a strong interest in developing expertise in product management, AI and legal technology.
