Role

The AI Partnership Lead is responsible for driving strategic engagement with external partners focused on AI. The role involves developing and nurturing partnerships with AI companies, examining AI opportunities from both technological and commercial perspectives, and enabling responsible AI adoption in collaboration with the AI and Information team and the business.

This position is full-time and reports to the AI Solutions Lead.

Key Accountabilities
  • Leverage AI partners: Bring in AI technology and connect it to opportunities within Mott MacDonald.
  • Prioritise AI partnerships: Source and qualify opportunities with the business to prioritise and manage AI opportunities, delivering value across the business for Mott MacDonald and its clients.
  • Develop best practices: Establish processes for partnerships and AI to meet business needs and identify the best partners.
  • Drive value and adoption: Drive value from existing partners and support adoption of AI solutions across the business with the AI implementation lead and regional adoption teams.
  • Gather external insights: Collect insights to inform AI strategy.
  • Align with senior stakeholders: Collaborate with AI and Information leads and other key stakeholders from Technical Excellence, Digital Executive, and Executive Sponsors.
  • Explore new opportunities: Encourage innovative thinking to explore new AI opportunities from technological and commercial perspectives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Mott MacDonald in driving new AI opportunities by leveraging external partners, aligned with the company’s growth strategy.
  • Strategy and best practice: develop strategy and plans, ensuring processes and guidelines are followed for partnerships and insights development.
  • Leverage AI: utilise AI technology to create value by assessing and trialling technology and conducting commercial assessments.
  • Stakeholder collaboration: Work with senior and executive leaders, business units, practices, the digital services team, and project teams to ensure AI adoption.
  • Performance metrics: Establish and monitor partnership and AI assessment metrics, and report progress and outcomes.
  • Raise partnership awareness: Foster a culture of awareness, continuous learning, and professional growth; provide guidance and development opportunities.
  • Technology reputation: Position Mott MacDonald as an AI leader, sharing insights and representing the company on AI topics in global forums and industry groups.
Education

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in technology, science, business, or another field related to Mott MacDonald’s sectors.

Experience
  • Strong understanding of AI, innovation, and technology processes and their implementation in a business context.
  • Experience in a technology implementation role, preferably in technology or business development.
  • Experience in establishing and growing partnerships and ecosystems.
  • Track record of positively influencing at multiple organizational levels.
  • Progressive leadership experience leading cross-functional teams and enterprise-wide change programs.
