Job summary

Accenture in the United Kingdom is seeking an AI Engineer (Software) to design, build, and ship production‑grade software across the full stack, using AI-assisted tooling as standard practice alongside core engineering skills.

You will work on real client programs across industries, integrating LLM APIs and agentic AI pipelines, with a clear development track toward advanced AI/agentic engineering and exposure to leading technologies in Birmingham, London, and other UK sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Commercial software engineering experience in production environments or equivalent through projects.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools in day‑to‑day engineering work including LLM APIs.
• Basic web technologies (JavaScript/HTML/CSS).
• Familiarity with cloud fundamentals and containers (Docker) and CI/CD.
• Understanding of Agile delivery and databases (SQL/NoSQL).
• Knowledge of agentic system concepts and orchestration frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Use AI coding assistants daily to improve productivity and output quality.
• Integrate LLM APIs into production applications and manage latency and costs.
• Apply AI across the full software delivery lifecycle: AI-generated tests, debugging, and code review.
• Ensure AI-generated outputs are production-ready, with engineering judgment on reliability.
• Define and track KPIs for AI-assisted workflows and present metrics to stakeholders.
• Own delivery end-to-end in Agile sprint cycles with client engineering teams.
• Contribute to reusable components and internal AI tooling standards.
