- Ability to work full-time, 5 days a week in Guildford in the office.

Your new company

This leading software provider is looking to bolster their engineering team with an experienced AI/ML Engineer to work on C++ products. You will be working full-time at their head office in Guildford, close to the University and well-connected to London and Surrey via excellent transport links.

Your new role

This role involves designing, developing, deploying, and integrating scalable, production-grade software and AI/ML systems with existing desktop and web applications. It is a hybrid role, bridging AI/ML expertise and coding, within a newly formed R&D team.

You will collaborate across teams to deliver new scalable products, many of which are greenfield projects. The company’s control over their systems allows developers to understand user journeys deeply, fostering better product development. You will work with scientists, engineers, and developers to identify promising ideas and guide their technical evolution.

As a well-established business with decades of experience, they are leading the market and planning to double their engineering team within the next year, offering leadership opportunities in the future.

What you'll need to succeed
  • 5+ years of R&D experience, with 3+ years in AI/ML projects, and a Masters or PhD in STEM or Computing.
  • Proven experience with C++ (preferably integrating ML features into C++ applications) and at least one high-level scientific language (e.g., Python, Julia).
  • Strong technical leadership skills and motivation to promote engineering best practices.
  • Experience with scientific computing, numerical methods, or computational modeling is a plus.
