Job summary

Birmingham City University is seeking an AEC Solution Architect (AI/LLM Developer) KTP Associate for a 24-month fixed-term role. The successful candidate will work in collaboration with Lime Green Products Limited on an innovative Knowledge Transfer Project (KTP).

The role involves developing AI-powered tools and workflows, implementing complex systems for architecture, and managing a transformative research project. Candidates should have a related degree and demonstrable experience with LLMs.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience with LLMs such as OpenAI GPT models.
• Experience with architecture software/processes.
• Knowledge of AI risk frameworks and model governance.

Responsibilities

• Distilling staff knowledge into an AI-driven system.
• Conducting research into AI and generative AI.
• Managing project timelines and reporting requirements.

Skills

Knowledge of Architecture and Built Environment disciplines

Experience with LLMs (e.g. OpenAI GPT models)

Python development skills

Understanding of Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) systems

Education

2:1 or first-class undergraduate qualification in Architecture or related discipline

Master's degree or PhD in Architecture/AI/Computer Science
