Job summary

Accenture PLC seeks a Lead/Principal Infrastructure Architect to own end-to-end compute infrastructure design for large-scale AI/ML systems, including distributed training environments. You will translate business goals and SLAs into scalable, cost-efficient architectures, and mentor engineers and architects across client engagements.

Drawing on deep cloud expertise (AWS/Azure/GCP), you will evaluate architecture options, drive governance, and ensure security/compliance.

Qualifications

• Solid background in coding, monitoring, debugging AI/ML applications.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts.
• Strong understanding of computing infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++.
• Experience with data pipelines and workflow tools (Airflow, Kubeflow).
• Excellent problem-solving in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Significant experience on a hyperscaler platform deploying large-scale solutions.
• Proven leadership of AI projects and teams.
• Strong project management with multiple concurrent projects.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and align projects.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end architecture and design of optimized compute infrastructure for AI/ML systems, including distributed training.
• Develop and evaluate architecture alternatives across compute, networking, storage, orchestration, and model serving.
• Lead architecture assessments and reviews, identify gaps, mitigate risks, and optimize.
• Drive architectural decision-making with transparent rationale and trade-offs.
• Define and maintain the AI infrastructure roadmap, capacity planning and scaling.
• Architect and optimize the full computational stack for performance, power, cost, and scalability.
• Design and tune large-scale GPU clusters and distributed training systems.
• Serve as the authoritative AI infrastructure expert in at least one hyperscaler cloud.
• Design deployment, automation, and CI/CD strategies for reliable releases.
• Establish AI monitoring and observability strategy with SLAs/SLOs.
• Integrate AI/ML systems into enterprise environments with security/compliance.
• Lead capacity planning and cost modeling to balance cost and performance.
• Collaborate with clients and teams to translate requirements into standards.
• Set technical direction, mentor engineers, and lead code/design reviews.
