Job summary

Computacenter is seeking a Data Centre Design & Implementation Consultant to support customers from initial solution design through to installation and commissioning. The role bridges pre-sales, technical design and delivery, working with sales, consultancy, logistics, vendors and customers on enterprise-scale infrastructure solutions.

You will shape technical designs, mitigate delivery risk and ensure successful project outcomes across modern data centre environments, including AI and HPC

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of data centre infrastructure including AI/HPC environments.
• Ability to interpret physical and logical infrastructure designs.
• Ability to produce cost models, BoMs and Statements of Work.
• Experience creating installation-ready documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical solutions with customers and internal teams.
• Design data centre layouts, cabinet placement, cabling strategies, routeways.
• Provide guidance on power, cooling, and environmental requirements.
• Create cost models, BoMs, and Statements of Work for proposals.
• Review designs and BoMs to identify risks or gaps.
• Produce installation-ready documentation (P2P maps, labelling).
• Collaborate with logistics, vendors and delivery teams for execution.
• Support installation and commissioning, resolving design challenges.
• Build relationships with customers, partners and stakeholders.
