Job summary

Ardonagh Specialty in London is seeking a Data Management Analyst – AI Governance for a 12‑month fixed term. You will provide flexible analytical support across data quality, metadata development, and AI monitoring to help ensure well-governed data and reliable AI operations.

Role requires strong SQL/Python skills, experience with data quality tooling, and familiarity with regulated environments. You will collaborate with DPO, Risk & Compliance, Digital, and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven data analyst experience across data quality, metadata management, and analytics.
• Experience with data quality tooling and structured/unstructured datasets.
• Understanding of metadata concepts: classification, lineage, taxonomies, ontology.
• Exposure to AI/ML concepts including model monitoring and bias detection.
• Strong SQL and Python skills for data analysis and control development.
• Experience in regulated environments and GDPR awareness.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain data quality rules, profiling routines, and dashboards.
• Develop metadata standards, classification models, taxonomies, and labelling structures.
• Build AI monitoring controls including bias detection and drift analysis.
• Analyse data assets to surface insights, trends, and risks.
• Document processes, lineage, rules, and control frameworks for auditability.
• Collaborate with Digital, DPO, Risk & Compliance, and stakeholders to ensure governance.
• Support reporting, root-cause analysis and ad-hoc investigations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of data and AI governance standards.
