Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) seeks AI/ML Engineers to join the AI for Science (AI4S) team to design, implement and validate ML models for real‑world biomedical problems. You will drive model development across scientific tasks using HPC and large biomedical data sources.

You will collaborate with biology, medicine and experimentation experts to ensure high‑quality data for model development, deliver robust code in an agile environment, and contribute to state‑of‑the‑art AI/ML research and deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate in a quantitative or engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
• Experience with major deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, JAX, TensorFlow).
• Proficient in Python and delivering robust software solutions.
• Familiar with CI/CD, version control and containerization best practices.
• Fluent in English with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI/ML‑driven solutions throughout the model development life cycle.
• Research and develop state‑of‑the‑art ML models and agentic systems for scientific tasks.
• Deliver robust, tested, high‑performance code in an agile environment.
• Collaborate with biology, medicine and experimentation experts to ensure optimal data for ML models.
