Job summary

Alpine Racing Limited invites applications for an AI Engineering Student Placement in Enstone. You will join a cross-disciplinary team of AI, software, and platform engineers to develop and deploy AI-powered solutions for high-performance racing.

You will gain hands-on experience across the full lifecycle of AI projects, from data preparation to model evaluation and deployment, with opportunities to work on real-world race engineering challenges.

Qualifications

• Currently studying BSc or MSc in Data Science, AI, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with Python and its data science ecosystem (e.g., pandas, numpy, scikit-learn).
• Familiarity with machine learning concepts and techniques (e.g., regression, classification, neural networks).
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively
• You must have the right to work in the UK, as we cannot provide sponsorship for this role
• You must be available to attend onsite interviews

Responsibilities

• Support the development, testing, and deployment of AI-powered applications and solutions
• Assist with data collection, preparation, and analysis to support machine learning and AI initiatives
• Collaborate with engineers across the team to identify opportunities for AI-driven automation and process improvement
• Support the integration of AI solutions with existing systems, applications, and business processes
• Assist in evaluating and testing AI models, tools, and technologies
• Document technical solutions and present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Contribute to proof-of-concept projects exploring emerging AI technologies and capabilities
• Actively participate in the continuous improvement and adoption of AI solutions across the team
