Job summary

AutoThink Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a software engineer to develop end-to-end LLM features, focusing on retrieval, prompting, tool-calling, and production-grade plumbing.

You will ship features that turn messy business documents into decisions, build safe tool-callers for customer workflows, and create robust evaluation datasets and regression tests.

You will instrument cost, latency, and quality to enable fast, cheap, and reliable AI components.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering experience and 1+ shipping LLM features to real users.
• Fluent in Python or TypeScript; comfortable across both.
• Understanding embeddings, retrieval, prompt design and evaluation.
• Right to work in the UK; rigorous about testing, observability and cost.

Responsibilities

• Build retrieval-augmented features that turn documents into decisions.
• Develop tool-calling agents that operate inside customer workflows.
• Create evaluation datasets and regression tests for prompts in production.
• Instrument cost, latency, and quality metrics for each feature.
