FPSG's client is expanding and creating a new engineering hub. They develop powerful, scalable software that sets industry standards. They are pioneers in AI-augmented engineering, innovating how software is designed, developed, and delivered using intelligent solutions.

In this AI Engineering role, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing multi-agent systems with coding-focused agents, including coding, reviewing, and testing.
  • Creating prompts, logic, and scaffolding to guide agent behavior.
  • Managing AI tools to enable agents to access file systems, test runners, version control, and APIs.
  • Evaluating and improving agents' output, performance, collaboration, and feedback.
  • Prototyping new coding assistant workflows with open-source LLMs.
  • Participating in architecture discussions on agentic build pipelines.
  • Developing AI-powered interfaces for internal tools.

To succeed, you should have:

  • At least 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, with familiarity in Java, TypeScript, React, MySQL.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools like Windsurf, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Enterprise ChatGPT.
  • Experience with LangChain / LangGraph for AI modification and usage.
  • Exposure to LLM APIs, codegen platforms, vector databases, agent frameworks is preferred.
  • An innovative mindset and interest in impactful solutions.
  • A passion for experimentation, iteration, and learning.

This role focuses on applying AI tools to real-world development, not AI research. Candidates should be eager to build smarter systems using emerging AI technologies.

Please note: The role requires working within the UK, with flexible hybrid options, but candidates should be easily commutable to Manchester or Glasgow. The client does not currently sponsor visas.
