Job summary

Fuse Energy is building an integrated energy company delivering solar, battery, and generation projects while applying AI across its business. This role focuses on designing and deploying AI-powered consumer features and internal tools to improve productivity and trading alignment.

You will collaborate with backend engineers and data scientists to integrate AI-driven capabilities, leveraging weather and demand forecasts to enhance energy pricing strategies and market responsiveness.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of backend engineering experience with a strong interest in applied AI/ML
• Proficient in Python or similar language; familiarity with TensorFlow or PyTorch
• Experience with large-scale models and deploying AI solutions to production
• Understanding of cloud tech, containerisation, and scalable AI applications
• Ability to integrate AI/ML models into real-world apps with usability and performance focus
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work fast-paced
• Experience with large datasets, especially demand/supply forecasting
• Bonus: interest in energy markets, trading strategies, weather forecasting, and NLP

• Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered consumer features, including personalised energy recommendations and AI-assisted onboarding
• Build and optimise internal AI tools to improve company productivity through automation and workflow enhancements
• Integrate AI-driven features into platforms in collaboration with backend engineers and data scientists
• Work with trading and operations teams to align AI models with real-time market conditions and energy pricing
• Improve AI models for trading strategies by anticipating market shifts using weather and demand forecasts
• Track applied AI and machine learning advances and apply them to energy-sector problems
• Monitor AI tools and models to ensure efficient and effective performance
