Job Title: AI Engineer - Digital Ambition Duration: Schedule: 3 days in the office Location: London, City of, United Kingdom

This opportunity sits within an emerging technology environment focused on building and scaling advanced AI capabilities across Trading & Supply. The role offers hands‑on work across GraphRAG, knowledge graphs, LLMs and semantic retrieval, with direct exposure to front‑office trading workflows and commercially meaningful problem solving. This position is suited to candidates who enjoy combining research, engineering and practical business impact in a technically complex setting.

Required Experience:

• Strong hands‑on experience building GraphRAG solutions in a business environment
• Practical experience designing and delivering knowledge graph solutions, including graph schemas, entities, relationships and traversal patterns
• Experience combining knowledge graphs with LLMs, RAG and semantic or vector retrieval approaches
• Strong AI engineering and software development experience, including building production‑quality solutions using modern AI frameworks
• Experience taking experimental technologies beyond prototype stage towards scalable production solutions
• Experience working with, supporting or building technology for front‑office trading teams
• Practical understanding of how trading teams analyse information and make commercial decisions
• Experience translating complex business concepts, relationships and data into technical models for AI‑enabled solutions

Required Skills:

• Azure Foundry or an equivalent platform
• LangChain and LangGraph
• Knowledge of graph databases such as Neo4j or equivalent graph technologies
• Strong capability in graph‑based retrieval, graph traversal and semantic context design
• Understanding of semantic modelling, GraphQL and graph‑based data architectures
• Ability to build AI and graph‑based integrations using APIs and enterprise data platforms
• Understanding of data engineering, data pipelines and data architecture
• Ability to support evaluation, monitoring, guardrails and responsible deployment of AI capabilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Direct experience in commodities or energy trading, including markets such as power, gas, LNG, oil or related areas
• Experience working closely with traders, quantitative analysts, market analysts or trading technology teams
• Understanding of market fundamentals, pricing, positions, exposures, forecasts, physical flows and trading decisions
• Familiarity with the interaction between quantitative models and qualitative market information such as news, outages, operational events, regulation and geopolitics
• Broader understanding of how front‑office activity connects into middle- and back‑office processes across a Trading & Supply organisation
