Job summary

Govia Thameslink Railway is seeking an AI Engineer to design, develop and deploy AI agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio and Fabric, creating practical AI solutions that help teams interact with data and automate tasks.

You will work with business stakeholders to translate needs into scalable AI applications, ensure governance and security, and collaborate with Data & AI teams to scale AI across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience delivering AI agents or copilots in an enterprise setting.
• Strong understanding of governance and security in AI deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and deploy AI agents using Copilot Studio and Fabric.
• Develop conversational experiences and workflows integrating with GTR systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into practical AI solutions.
• Ensure safe, governed access to business information and insights.
• Apply testing, deployment and governance processes for reliability and auditable solutions.
• Partner with Data Engineers, Architects and platform teams to integrate AI with DataHub and Fabric.
• Evaluate AI approaches based on business value, scalability and maintainability.
• Monitor performance, adoption and impact to drive continuous improvement.
