Job description

About ANNA Money

ANNA (Absolutely No Nonsense Admin) is a fast-growing fintech on a mission to make running a small business feel easy - and even a little fun. We combine business accounts, invoicing, tax tools and AI-powered admin in one beautifully simple platform. Headquartered in the UK and now scaling across Australia, ANNA is built for freelancers, sole traders, and small business owners who want their time back (and their sanity).

We're on a mission to automate the boring bits of back-office ops - so humans can focus on the good stuff. Our Workstation product team is looking for an AI Engineer to help build the future of customer operations at ANNA.

This team owns the internal platform our support specialists use every day - and now, we're evolving it to make AI agents part of the crew. You'll be hands-on in developing tools where AI works alongside humans: resolving tasks, helping customers faster, and lightening the load for our team.

What You'll Be Working On:

One of your first projects could be automating our dispute resolution workflow. While it seems simple on the surface - a customer flags a suspicious transaction and fills in a form - behind the scenes it's a complex process involving third-party communications, risk reviews, and back-and-forths for more information. It's exactly the kind of repetitive, high-effort task we believe AI can handle - and we want you to help make that happen. This is just one of many opportunities to use AI to streamline operations and reduce manual load across the business.

What You'll Do:
  • Develop and track key operational efficiency metrics, identify opportunities for improvement, and create and implement a clear roadmap for execution
  • Lead the technical design, development, and monitoring of AI features
  • Build AI-driven orchestration for back-office operations
  • Automate routine tasks and decision-making
  • Enhance workflow management
  • Support human decision-making with AI
  • Build quality assurance and monitoring systems for back-office operations
  • Establish processes for knowledge and workflow curation
Tools We Extensively Use:
  • Python3, Numpy, Scipy, Xgboost, Catboost, PyTorch, Optuna;
  • CI/CD: Github-actions, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes;
  • MLOps: DVC, ML-flow;
  • BI: Terraform, Airflow, Dataform, BigQuery, Looker Studio;
  • LLMs: GPT, Claude, Gemini, Langsmith, Langchain, N8N
#LI-LS1

Requirements
  • Fluency in Python with deep knowledge of statistical packages and ML/DL libraries/frameworks (e.g. Scikit-learn, NumPy, Keras/TensorFlow/PyTorch), and visualisation libraries (e.g. Matplotlib, Plotly, Seaborn)
  • Fluency in SQL and familiarity with data visualisation tools (e.g. DataStudio, Tableau)
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and continuously staying up to date with the latest advancements in AI (especially LLMs, agentic architectures, and related technologies)
  • Strong track record of implementing and optimising production machine learning systems within a commercial or startup environment.
  • Knowledge of Agentic frameworks (e.g. Google ADK, CrewAI, AutoGen)
  • Good knowledge of DevOps in a Data Science context (MLOps, LLMOps) would be a benefit
Benefits
  • Competitive salary
  • Hybrid working with a central London office
  • Private Healthcare Plan
  • Pension Plans
  • Employee Assistance Programme (Counselling)
  • Work From Home flexibility
  • Training & Development Budget of £1,000 per annum
  • Take a Break Budget (Holiday Money) of £1,000 per annum
  • Childcare Voucher Scheme
