Job summary

develop is seeking Data & AI Engineers (Junior and Mid-Level) to join a rapidly growing AI-focused fintech team in London. You will work in a small engineering group delivering AI-powered products for financial services, using modern language models and data tech.

The role emphasizes hands-on experience with real-world applications, ownership of work, and collaboration with experienced AI engineers and leaders in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Computer Science degree or similar technical background.
• 2 years of commercial software engineering experience.
• Experience with LLM APIs or AI tooling.
• Exposure to Python.
• Familiarity with AI assistants such as Claude Code or ChatGPT.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI-powered products within a small engineering team.
• Support delivery of solutions for clients in financial services.
• Explore and adopt new AI technologies from day one.
• Build applications and process/model data, integrating AI services.
• Help shape the future direction of the platform.

They are looking to hire Data & AI Engineers at both Junior and Mid-Level, offering the opportunity to work with cutting-edge AI technologies in a highly collaborative environment.

The Role

You'll work as part of a small engineering team developing AI-powered products and supporting the delivery of solutions for clients operating within financial services.

What They're Looking For

Mid-Level Engineers

• Around 2 years of commercial software engineering experience
• Experience working with LLM APIs or AI tooling
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of work
• Computer Science degree or similar technical background
• Exposure to Python
• Interest in AI, machine learning and emerging technologies
• Familiarity with tools such as Claude Code, ChatGPT or similar AI assistants
• RAG implementations
• Azure or Google Cloud exposure
• Knowledge of financial services data
