Job summary

Morson Edge is partnering with a global financial services leader to hire an AI Engineer who will design, build and deploy production-ready Generative AI solutions. You will work hands-on with Python, GCP Vertex AI, OpenAI and Anthropic Claude to turn AI concepts into scalable business outcomes.

The role focuses on building GenAI apps (RAG, chatbots, copilots), developing LLM workflows, and ensuring compliance with GDPR and security.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering GenAI solutions in production environments.
• Strong GCP/Vertex AI expertise required.
• Hands-on experience with OpenAI APIs and Anthropic Claude.
• Experience integrating AI services via APIs and building back-end services.
• Familiarity with VCS, testing and CI/CD practices.
• Knowledge of GenAI, LLMs and prompt engineering.
• Experience with RAG, vector databases and semantic search.
• Experience working with structured and unstructured data.
• Financial services experience in regulated environments is a plus.

This is a hands‑on role focused on turning AI concepts into scalable business solutions, working with Python, GCP, Vertex AI, OpenAI and Anthropic Claude.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and deploy GenAI applications including RAG, chatbots, copilots and document intelligence.
• Develop LLM workflows and integrations using OpenAI and/or Claude APIs.
• Build solutions on GCP, including Vertex AI, BigQuery and Cloud Run.
• Work with structured/unstructured data, embeddings, vector databases and semantic search.
• Implement CI/CD, monitoring, testing and production controls.
• Ensure solutions meet Responsible AI, GDPR, security and regulatory requirements.
• Work with Technology, Data Risk and Compliance teams to deliver practical AI solutions.

What you will bring

• Proven experience delivering AI/GenAI solutions into production.
• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ideally Vertex AI.
• Hands-on experience with ChatGPT / OpenAI APIs and/or Anthropic Claude.
• Experience integrating AI services via APIs and building backend services.
• Familiarity with modern software engineering practices (version control, testing, CI/CD).
• Generative AI & LLMs
• Practical experience with prompt engineering, system prompts and evaluation techniques.
• Experience implementing RAG architectures, vector databases, and semantic search.
• Experience working with structured and unstructured data
• Financial services experience (highly desirable) or experience working in a regulated environment.
