The role blends research and real-world manufacturing, requiring you to translate AI research into commercially viable industrial solutions and to manage milestones within a KTP framework.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in mechanical engineering or related field; PhD desirable.
• Experience with machine learning, computer vision and data analytics.
• Strong programming in Python; experience with PyTorch/OpenCV.
• Industrial experience with manufacturing processes and quality-inspection systems.

Responsibilities

• Capture multi-modal industrial datasets and develop AI methods for defect detection.
• Lead machine-vision development for defect detection and classification.
• Design and train AI models; establish industrial data pipelines.
• Integrate AI with manufacturing processes and validate under industrial conditions.
• Advance prototypes into a robust system suitable for production.
