Job summary

Gibson Dunn is seeking a Legal Project Manager to support London-led and cross-border matters, coordinating budgets, timelines, and stakeholder expectations. The role focuses on leveraging AI tools, optimizing processes, and delivering high-value matter execution with partners and clients.

You will work with partners, associates, and business services to improve planning, reporting, and resource coordination, driving operational efficiency and consistent practice across matters.

Qualifications

• Familiar with AI tools used in legal matter management to improve planning, reporting and data analysis.
• Demonstrates resilience and ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Advanced Excel skills to analyze data, build financial models and generate insights.
• Experience with project management methods and tools is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support partners and matter teams with client-facing matter management tasks and status updates.
• Apply AI-enabled workflows to matter management, including document review, budgeting and reporting automation.
• Assist with onboarding and adoption of matter-management tools across teams.
• Develop and execute detailed matter plans with timelines and deliverables.
• Collaborate with Finance, Tech and other departments to align on requirements and resources.
• Coordinate resources and workloads to optimize delivery within timelines.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies for matters.
• Track and report on matter budgets and utilization of resources.
• Prepare regular matter updates and performance metrics for stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and drive efficiency.
