Job summary

Google DeepMind seeks a Software Engineer to design and develop the front- and back-ends of user-facing products, focusing on human-centered experiences for cutting-edge AI research.

You will own end-to-end implementation, iterate on features, and explore AI-driven prompts while collaborating with UX teams in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. London and San Francisco locations are referenced as preferred working locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of coding experience in C, C++, Java, or Python.
• 5 years of experience with front- and back-end technologies and modern web development frameworks.
• Experience building prototypes for AI/ML systems and AI-native tool-chains.
• Experience with AI technologies, methods, and tools, building UIs and prototypes.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop front- and back-ends of user-facing products with a human-centered approach.
• Design, develop, test, and iterate on stable but experimental code for new features.
• Build dynamic workflows and collaborative tools tailored to user needs.
• Own engineering delivery, including bug fixes and performance improvements.
• Engage in prompt engineering for AI-driven user experiences.
