Job summary

Norton Blake Limited is seeking an AI/GCP Cloud Architect for a London-based hybrid role. You will design and deliver cloud platforms to support AI and Generative AI applications, combining architecture ownership with hands-on input across engineering, data and security teams.

Key focus areas include Vertex AI integration, LLM deployment, secure IAM, data flows, and cost-efficient cloud governance. You will translate business needs into technical designs and guide production deployment of AI

Qualifications

• Hands-on architect with strong GCP expertise and AI solution delivery experience.
• Experience designing scalable, secure cloud architectures.
• Familiarity with Vertex AI and production deployment of AI workloads.

• Support engineering teams with technical decisions, design reviews and implementation challenges.
• Translate business requirements into clear solution designs and communicate recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

GCP Cloud Architect

London - Hybrid

Circa £600-£650+ per day - Inside IR35

Initial 6-month contract

I'm currently recruiting for an AI / GCP Cloud Architect to help design and deliver cloud platforms that support AI and Generative AI applications. The role combines architecture ownership with hands-on technical input, working closely with engineering, data and security teams to take solutions from initial design through to production.

Key responsibilities:

• Design scalable, secure and resilient solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
• Define architectures for AI applications, covering model integration, data flows, APIs and supporting infrastructure.
• Guide the deployment of AI workloads, considering performance, reliability, monitoring and cost.

We're looking for experience across:

• GCP architecture, including cloud infrastructure, networking, IAM and security.
• AI and Generative AI solutions, including Vertex AI, LLM integration and production deployment.
• Designing scalable architectures for data platforms, APIs and AI workloads.
• Infrastructure as code, CI/CD and cloud governance.
• Working with engineering teams and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical designs.

• This would suit a hands-on architect who combines strong GCP expertise with practical experience delivering AI solutions.
