Job summary

HCL Technologies Limited in the UK seeks a Head of Data and AI to drive AI and data initiatives for a leading utilities client. You will shape strategic roadmaps, oversee executive delivery, and ensure regulatory, security, and operational alignment at the top level.

You will oversee a diverse AI portfolio, translate complex AI concepts for non-technical stakeholders, and champion responsible AI while advancing efficiency and modernization efforts across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Senior IT leadership or Enterprise Architecture experience in AI/ML
• Proven track record delivering enterprise-grade AI/ML products
• Experience in utilities/energy sector is a plus
• Ability to translate AI concepts into business value

Responsibilities

• Lead AI strategy and manage C-suite expectations
• Direct AI initiatives across ML, Generative AI, and agentic AI workstreams
• Collaborate with internal teams and partners to scale AI models
• Engage stakeholders across the business to identify bottlenecks and align solutions
• Design and enforce a Responsible AI framework with Cyber Security and Risk teams
• Lead change management and enterprise-wide AI adoption
