What you'll do:

We are seeking a seasoned AI Data Engineer to join our Ghent team full-time. In this critical role, you will:

  • Design, build and deploy AI-powered solutions that improve the most secure and innovative Legal AI workspace on the market.
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Backend teams to design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure.
  • Design and manage a central data lake to consolidate data from various sources, enabling data enrichment, advanced analytics and reporting.
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies, tools and approaches to optimise data processes and architectures.
  • Continuously monitor, troubleshoot and improve data pipelines and infrastructure for performance, scalability and cost-efficiency.
  • Present technical findings and project outcomes to a variety of stakeholders, adapting communication to both technical and non-technical audiences.

You might be a good fit if you have:

  • Practical experience in data engineering (ETL development, data warehousing, data lake management, etc.).
  • Knowledge of RAG pipelines and hands-on experience of supporting Generative AI/Data Science workflows is a big bonus.
  • Comfortable working with cloud-based data stack tools.
  • Familiar with big data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and data integration technologies (e.g., Airflow, DBT or similar).
  • Strong communication skills, with an ability to effectively engage with diverse teams across business and technical domains with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • A hands-on, solution-driven mindset with the ability to work autonomously and adapt in fast-moving environments.

You will join the engineering team led by our CTO and co-founder.
