Job summary

Accenture in London is seeking an AI&Data Architecture Associate Director to lead the design and delivery of scalable data and AI platforms for global clients.

You will shape architecture strategy, mentor senior and junior architects, and drive innovation across data governance, core engineering and Cloud-enabled solutions while partnering with cross-functional teams and clients to deliver measurable business value.

We have an exciting opportunity for an AI&Data Architecture Associate Director to join our AI&Data practice. We deliver scalable, business-critical and end-to-end data, AI and agentic solutions for our clients - from data strategy/governance to Core Engineering, enabling them to transform and work in Cloud and AI Technologies.

The AI&Data Architecture Practice at Accenture's mission is to define and own Architecture vision for our clients, providing architecture enablers for innovative Data and AI capabilities driving multiplier value for the business. We design and architect modern AI-ready data platforms and help clients scale AI for digital core to unlock new data driven business opportunities. As a AI&Data Architecture Associate Director, you will:
  • Lead teams in the design and implementation of scalable data solutions using modern technologies, under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Take ownership of the growth, development and continuous improvement of the business, professional community or practice area, driving strategic initiatives, sharing expertise, developing capability and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Identify gaps and inefficiencies in clients’ existing architecture, working closely with senior colleagues to support analysis and solution development.
  • Shape strategy and roadmaps for improving client AI and Data architectures
  • Provide ongoing architectural support for delivery teams, ensuring solutions are technically sound, scalable, and aligned with agreed architecture principles throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Facilitate client workshops throughout the project lifecycle, assisting with preparation, documentation, and follow-up actions.
  • Engage with clients to gather requirements and ensure project deliverables align with their needs, with support from senior team members.
  • Drive architectural thought leadership by sharing ideas on innovation, emerging technologies, and modern data and AI architecture patterns across client and internal forums
  • Play an active role in internal networks and special interest groups, participating in discussions and activities to build your professional expertise within Architecture.
  • Lead and mentor junior architects, providing guidance on architectural patterns, standards, and best practices while supporting their professional development.
  • Drive innovation in data and AI architecture by prototyping new technologies and developing proofs of concept to validate ideas and inform client and internal recommendations.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with client architecture and technology stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor to ensure alignment between client objectives, architectural direction, and delivery outcomes.
Qualification
We are looking for experience in the following skills:
  • Proven experince establishing a business function or community of practice that has demonstrated business growth
  • A strategic thinker, with an analytical and creative mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to stay current with emerging AI and Data trends, technologies, and architecture patterns, and apply them to relevant client opportunities and solutions.
  • Experience building AI-enabled data architecture
  • In-depth experience in one or more major cloud platform(s) (AWS, GCP, Azure), preferably with relevant professional level certifications.
  • Competency and practical implementation experience with AI / Agentic solutions
  • A background working in software development, data engineering or data science, with an aptitude and motivation to progress towards a specialisation in AI and Data Architecture.
  • Expertise across foundational data domains including data modelling, data engineering, data governance, and data consumption.
  • Working knowledge with the likes of Databricks, Snowflake, Anthropic etc
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience working in client facing environments and a proven track record in architecting complex data solutions.
  • Experience leading technical teams, coordinating across project streams to deliver high-quality Data and AI solution
