Job Description: AI Conversation Designer
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced AI Conversation Designer to help shape intuitive, human-centric interactions across conversational AI platforms like Genesys. In this role, you'll lead the design of intelligent dialogue systems while supporting broader content and user experience design initiatives. Ideal candidates are T-shaped designers—experts in conversational design with the flexibility to collaborate across disciplines to deliver meaningful user experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Conversational Design: Create natural, purposeful dialogue flows across chat, voice, and other channels. Apply NLP and NLU techniques such as intent recognition, entity extraction, sentiment analysis, and named entity recognition. Design effective prompts for LLMs, including GPT-based systems. Collaborate with technical teams to refine AI behavior, maintaining clarity, tone, and emotional intelligence.
- Help Experience: Lead the design of help journeys that empower users to self-serve, monitor engagement, and iterate based on insights. Work with developers to integrate AI into multi-channel support.
- Content Design: Translate complex concepts, especially in finance and investment, into accessible language. Follow content best practices for inclusivity and usability. Support user research activities.
- User-Centered Design: Use personas, behavioral data, and research to craft intuitive experiences. Collaborate with UX teams to ensure designs meet user needs and improve based on feedback.
- Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Manage multiple projects, adapt to shifting needs, facilitate workshops, use Figma, and support team initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- Strong expertise in conversational design, AI, NLP/NLU, and LLMs.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, focused on clarity, accessibility, and empathy.
- A T-shaped designer with deep knowledge in one area and contribution ability across others.
- Familiarity with Agile and design frameworks like Double Diamond.
- Strategic, user-first thinker with understanding of business goals.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Curious, proactive, and dedicated to enhancing user experience.
Preferred Experience
- 4+ years in conversation and content design.
- 2+ years working with AI-driven chatbots and platforms.
- Experience in financial services or regulated industries.
- Strong project management and analytics skills.
