Job Description

Amazon is seeking an AI Content Expert II to assist with annotations, content generation, and data analysis. As part of the Data Team, your primary responsibility will be delivering high-quality training data to enhance and expand the capabilities of Large Language Models (LLMs).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Creating and annotating complex training data across multiple modalities (text, image, video) on various topics, including technical and scientific content.
  2. Writing grammatically correct texts in different styles, following provided guidelines.
  3. Performing audits and quality checks on tasks completed by other specialists.
  4. Making informed judgments and decisions when faced with ambiguous or incomplete information.
  5. Identifying and reporting tooling bugs and suggesting improvements.

A Day in the Life:

As an AI Content Expert, you will create complex training data requiring high judgment, collaborate with scientists and engineers to review guidelines, and participate in discussions on data quality and tooling improvements.

About the Team:

The team works in-office Monday through Friday with an eight-hour shift. We focus on continuous improvement, diversity, and regular training and events.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working with written language data, including annotation and data markup.
  • Excellent proficiency in English (C2 level CEFR).
  • Strong understanding of U.S. culture and norms.
  • Research skills and knowledge of academic integrity.
  • Attention to detail and focus.
  • Comfort with high-school level STEM topics.
  • Effective writing and evaluation skills across various subjects.
  • Adaptability to fast-paced environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience with LLM training and evaluation data creation.
  • Knowledge of command line interfaces and UNIX commands.
  • Familiarity with markup languages (HTML, XML, Markdown) and formats (JSON, CSV, RTF).
  • Basic scripting knowledge (Python or similar).
  • Understanding of regular expressions and Large Language Models.
  • Comfort with sensitive content annotation work.
