Job summary
The University of Salford invites applications for a Knowledge Transfer Partnership Associate to lead AI and CV innovations in Ace Grading’s live processes. You will develop automated grading and metadata pipelines, enabling scalable, high‑quality outcomes.
Based at Banbury (OX16), you will collaborate with university and industry teams, travel to Salford for meetings, and gain experience in technical leadership and commercial impact.
Qualifications
- Graduate with 2.1 BEng/BSc in Computer Science, Data Science, AI or related field.
- Experience in ML/DL/CV and software development.
- Experience deploying ML models using TF, PyTorch or similar.
- Experience with image datasets, object detection, OCR or related CV apps.
- Postgraduate qualification desirable but not essential.
Responsibilities
- Develop and embed advanced AI, ML and CV solutions in Ace Grading's live operations.
- Design automated defect detection, card centring, metadata extraction and label generation; implement human-in-the-loop systems.
- Translate cutting-edge AI research into robust, scalable production systems.
- Manage large image datasets, develop models, and establish MLOps workflows.
- Engage with stakeholders across grading, IT, operations and creative teams.
