Job summary

The AA is seeking an AI Business Operations Lead in London to shape how AI is adopted across the organisation. You will work with the Director of AI and leadership to connect priorities, people, investment and activity, ensuring the CoE delivers measurable outcomes.

You’ll solve ambiguous problems with structured thinking, maintain strong delivery discipline, and influence without authority across technical and business teams to move initiatives forward.

Qualifications

• Strong track record of delivering in complex organisations.
• Ability to turn unclear priorities into practical recommendations and actions.
• Experience with budgets, forecasts, business cases or financial trade-offs.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication with senior leaders.
• Solid understanding of AI concepts and technology trends.
• Ability to influence and drive outcomes without formal authority.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day operational rhythm of the AI Centre of Excellence, ensuring priorities and dependencies move forward.
• Maintain a clear view across the AI portfolio including milestones, capacity and funding.
• Manage portfolio budget forecasting, Capex and Opex, and investment tracking.
• Translate emerging priorities into structured recommendations and actions for leadership.
• Act as a connector across AI, Technology and broader business to resolve blockers.
• Prepare concise materials for senior stakeholders to support decisions.
• Take ownership of cross-functional AI initiatives and transition them into delivery structures.
• Continuously improve processes and ways of working for the AI CoE.
