Job summary

Legend is seeking an AI & Automation Lead to own how our operational teams use AI, fromFinance and Legal to People and Talent. You’ll identify opportunities, build agents and workflows, and coach teams to deliver simple wins while partnering with Engineering on larger builds.

You’ll be judged by hours released, reliability of agents, and the business value created. A SOX-aware environment and robust change controls apply where relevant.

The Role

Legend is hiring an AI & Automation Lead, reporting directly to our COO

You will own how Legend's key operational teams use AI day to day, including Finance, Legal, Business Ops, People and Talent. You'll work with local stakeholders to find the opportunities, then build and run the agents and automations that give people capacity back. You'll also coach teams to build simple wins for themselves. For larger builds you'll work alongside Engineering, who are close at hand, and you'll stay the business owner.

This is an business led operator role. You'll be judged on hours released, how reliably your agents run, and what the business does with the time you free up.

Your Impact:

• Work with team leads to map how work really gets done, then rank AI and automation opportunities by hours released and business value. Fix the process first, and say so when AI is the wrong answer.
• Design and build practical agents and workflows, and coach teams to build the simpler ones themselves. Partner with Engineering on larger or production-grade builds.
• Test every solution properly and connect it to approved tools and systems before it goes live.
• Own live agents end to end: documented, monitored, secured and maintained, with a named human reviewer wherever outputs matter. For agents in our SOX environment, work with Finance and our control owners so they run under proper change control, access controls and audit trail. Keep an agent register covering owner, purpose, access, cost and performance, and retire what doesn't earn its place.
• Work with the People and Talent teams to bring AI into HR and recruiting workflows.
• Drive adoption with team leads and report hours released against an agreed baseline.

What You'll Bring:

• A business mindset: you can map a workflow, spot waste and improve the process before deciding whether AI is the answer.
• Proven delivery of AI agents, automations or workflow solutions in live business use, past prototype, with a result you can put a number on. You can build simple solutions yourself and brief Engineering clearly on the rest.
• Sound judgment on risk: data, access, accuracy, human review and ongoing maintenance, and comfort working within approved tools and security rules.
• Clear communication with non-technical colleagues and senior stakeholders, and the ability to win adoption without formal authority.
• End-to-end ownership, fast iteration and evidence that your work improved business outcomes.
• Hands-on experience with Claude, n8n or similar platforms is useful. Transferable skills matter more than a specific toolset.

1st: Conversation with a Talent Partner (via Zoom).

2nd: Conversation with the hiring manager and relevant team members (1 hour via Zoom)

3rd: Practical take-home task on a real-style business process (1 hour via Zoom)
