Job summary

Hydrogen Group is seeking an Automation Engineer to design, build and deploy AI-powered automations, copilots and workflows across a major financial services client. The role spans across Copilot Studio, Azure OpenAI, Power Platform and Power Automate, with governance and security considerations in a highly regulated environment.

The successful candidate will work in a hybrid model (London/Liverpool/Glasgow options) and collaborate with business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities

Qualifications

• Experience designing and deploying AI-powered automations in enterprise environments.
• Strong: MS Copilot Studio, Azure OpenAI and Power Platform.
• Proficient with REST APIs, JSON and webhooks integration.
• Knowledge of governance, security and compliance in regulated settings.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy AI-powered copilots and agents using Copilot Studio
• Build Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions using Azure OpenAI and enterprise data sources
• Develop Power Automate workflows and Power Apps solutions
• Integrate Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook and business applications via APIs and connectors
• Create reusable automation components, connectors and standards
• Implement monitoring, telemetry, testing and support processes
• Ensure solutions meet governance, security, compliance and risk requirements
• Work closely with business stakeholders to identify and prioritise automation opportunities
• Drive adoption of AI‑first ways of working across the organisation
• Commercial experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio
• Experience building AI agents, copilots and conversational workflows
• Azure OpenAI experience including prompt engineering, RAG and AI safety controls
• Strong Microsoft Power Platform expertise, particularly Power Automate
• Microsoft Graph API experience
• Experience integrating systems using REST APIs, JSON and webhooks
• Understanding of Entra ID, OAuth and enterprise security controls
• Experience with Azure AI Foundry (AI Studio)
• DevOps experience including Git, CI/CD and release management
• Blue Prism, UiPath or Automation Anywhere
• Python and/or PowerShell
• Power BI
• React or modern front‑end development exposure
