A leading organisation is seeking an AI Solution Architect to help shape and scale intelligent automation, language models and agentic AI capabilities across customer-facing products and internal operations.
Reporting to the Head of Data and AI Architecture, the successful candidate will define architecture patterns, guide delivery teams and collaborate with security, engineering, product and data stakeholders to deliver intelligent assistants, copilots and AI-enabled workflow solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the enterprise GenAI and broader AI architecture roadmap, aligned with the organisation's data and digital strategy.
- Lead the architectural design of an enterprise AI Trust and Controls layer, addressing risks including sensitive data leakage, toxicity, prompt injection, jailbreaking, insecure outputs, model security and other AI-related risks.
- Identify opportunities to innovate and reimagine business processes through AI.
- Lead the design of enterprise solutions embedding LLMs, GenAI and agentic automation into business workflows.
- Work with integration teams to deliver solutions across structured and unstructured data sources and enterprise platforms.
- Provide technical leadership to pilot and delivery teams, developing reference architectures and scaling successful AI patterns.
- Partner with security, platform and engineering teams to establish LLMOps and AgenticOps capabilities, including prompt lifecycle management, model observability, caching, evaluation and governance.
- Contribute to the development of an AI-ready architecture practice through knowledge sharing, standards and reference implementations.
- Support integration with messaging platforms, event-driven architectures and API ecosystems.
- Working Arrangements
- The organisation operates a hybrid working model, with employees expected to spend a proportion of their working time away from home. Flexible working arrangements may be available depending on the role and team.
Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of the AI Governance, AI Operations and AI Observability landscape, including relevant solutions, frameworks and libraries.
- Experience designing preventative, detective and corrective controls for AI-related risks.
- Working knowledge of AI governance frameworks such as ISO/IEC 42001, NIST AI RMF or the EU AI Act, alongside responsible AI principles.
- Strong solution architecture experience within enterprise environments, ideally spanning cloud, data, API integration and business applications.
- Experience designing or integrating AI-powered solutions into operational workflows, including intelligent assistants, generative search, summarisation, automation platforms and AI-enabled user interfaces.
- Knowledge of GenAI application patterns including RAG, agent-based architectures and orchestration frameworks.
- Experience with messaging technologies, event-driven architectures and API-driven integration.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across architecture, security, business, engineering and data teams.
- Experience with Azure-native AI and cloud services or equivalent hyperscaler technologies, including services for LLMs, machine learning, enterprise search, data platforms and productivity ecosystems.
- Understanding of secure architectural patterns for accessing structured and unstructured data, including data classification, masking and policy enforcement
