Job description

THE OPPORTUNITY

As AI Architect, you'll play a key role in developing our AI capability and helping us make the most of emerging technologies across the business. You'll own our AI roadmap, governance and adoption framework, working closely with the Head of IT & Systems, Directors and teams across the business to identify opportunities where AI can make a real difference.

THE OPPORTUNITY

You'll make an impact by turning AI opportunities into practical, secure and commercially valuable solutions that improve productivity, automate processes and support better decision‑making. You'll help the business understand where AI can add genuine value, while ensuring its use is responsible, governed and aligned with our wider systems strategy.

This is a hands‑on and collaborative role where you'll combine strategic thinking with practical solution design. You'll identify opportunities, build and test AI solutions, support adoption and help teams embed new ways of working. You'll also play an important role in shaping how we use AI responsibly, creating clear standards, guidance and training to ensure our teams can use approved AI tools confidently and effectively.

If you enjoy exploring what AI can do, finding new ways to improve how we work and turning ideas into practical solutions, this could be the perfect role for you. If you're someone who enjoys working with different teams, spotting opportunities and balancing innovation with what will genuinely add value to the business, we'd love to hear from you.

The role is Monday - Friday 9am-5pm. You'll enjoy the exciting buzz of our friendly office in Banbury, Oxfordshire three times a week on average, with the flexibility to work from home for the remaining two days.

You'll be able to work from home x days per week.

BEHIND THE BRANDS

We're a family-run, entrepreneurial company with an exciting pace of life and a bright and friendly team. We are passionate about creating stunning products with a personal touch and innovating our business behind the scenes. We value creativity, collaboration and integrity.

How You'll Contribute
  • Developing and maintaining a prioritised AI roadmap and governed backlog of AI use cases aligned with business priorities
  • Identifying and assessing AI opportunities across departments, prioritising those with the greatest potential business value
  • Aligning AI initiatives with our wider Systems roadmap and business priorities
  • Helping teams distinguish between quick wins, strategic opportunities and inappropriate AI use cases
  • Evaluating and recommending AI platforms, models and technologies based on business need, security, scalability and commercial value
  • Establishing and managing a structured process for evaluating, prioritising and approving AI use cases across the business
  • Creating standards for the safe and effective use of approved AI platforms, including Claude, Copilot and future tools
  • Defining controls around data access, privacy, security, validation, accuracy and human review
  • Ensuring AI usage is governed, documented and appropriate for the sensitivity of the information involved
  • Collaborating with the Head of Systems and Senior IT & Systems Manager to align AI usage with systems and security controls
  • Monitoring compliance with AI governance standards and promoting responsible, secure and ethical use of AI technologies across the business
  • Developing and maintaining policies and guidance covering AI usage, data access, validation, human oversight and responsible use
  • Promoting ethical, transparent and responsible use of AI, ensuring appropriate human oversight and accountability for AI-supported decisions
  • Designing AI-enabled workflows, automations, analysis tools and decision-support processes
  • Building prototypes and proofs of concept for priority AI use cases
  • Converting successful AI pilots into documented, standardised and supportable business processes with clear ownership and ongoing support
  • Partnering with the Senior IT & Systems Manager where use cases require data access, integration or automation support
  • Monitoring and continuously improving deployed AI solutions to ensure they remain effective, accurate and aligned with changing business requirements
  • Maintaining a central library of tested and approved prompts, AI workflows, reusable solutions and implementation guidance
  • Working with business and technology teams to identify data quality issues that may impact AI performance and solution effectiveness
  • Partnering with departments to identify repeated tasks, manual processes and analysis-heavy workflows where AI could improve efficiency
  • Creating training, playbooks, prompt standards and practical examples to help business users get the most from approved AI tools
  • Defining and reporting measures of AI adoption, business value, user satisfaction and operational performance
  • Evaluating the impact of AI initiatives, ensuring solutions deliver demonstrable improvements in productivity, efficiency or decision‑making
  • Driving adoption of approved AI tools through business engagement, training and continuous improvement
  • Acting as the subject matter expert for AI across the business, providing advice, guidance and thought leadership on emerging capabilities and best practice
  • Building strong relationships across departments to champion AI adoption and identify opportunities for innovation and operational improvement
  • Supporting organisational change associated with AI adoption through communication, engagement and user education
  • Supporting any other ad hoc duties as reasonably requested by the Company.
