Job summary

IBM Consulting UK FutureNow invites you to advance hybrid cloud and AI, working with public and private sector clients. You’ll join delivery centres with local expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

The role focuses on leading data science and AI initiatives, applying ML techniques, and delivering end-to-end solutions in a collaborative, flexible environment. You will mentor juniors and partner with engineers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Python with data science libraries (NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn).
• Professional experience applying ML or advanced analytics in delivery.
• Exposure to AI frameworks or techniques (TensorFlow, PyTorch, LLM APIs).
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Solid data modelling and data quality practices.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills for non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven end-to-end delivery of data-driven solutions in a consulting or commercial setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and deployment of data science and AI solutions across client projects.
• Apply statistical modelling, machine learning, and analytics to structured and unstructured data.
• Deliver AI-enabled solutions including foundation models and LLMs where appropriate.
• Translate business problems into analytical use cases and designs.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
