Job summary

Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an AHP Workforce and Education Lead to provide strategic leadership for AHP workforce development across the Trust. The role promotes innovative practice, early-career engagement, equitable preceptorship, and high-quality student placement experiences.

It leads undergraduate activity, supports return-to-practice and apprenticeship expansion, and strengthens career pathways including extended scope and leadership development.

Qualifications

• Registered AHP with HCPC registration.
• Master's Degree level qualification or equivalent experience.
• Leadership course and project management training.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for AHP workforce development across GWH.
• Lead undergraduate activity, oversee student placements and apprenticeship expansion.
• Support return-to-practice and develop career pathways including extended scope and ACP routes.
• Collaborate with AHP managers, HR, HEI partners and system colleagues to ensure high standards.
