Vylor is seeking a Field Testing Specialist to support the York Research Center operations, including seed filling, data collection, and field activities. The role requires agronomy knowledge, detail-oriented work, and leadership of part-time crews in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED with 2–4 years' experience; bachelor’s or associate degree in agriculture or scientific field preferred.
• Keen knowledge of agronomy, crop production, plant development, and experimental field plot design.
• Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork to foster relationships.
• Experience with computers and data management.
• Experience operating planting and harvest equipment including electronics, GPS and data collection systems.

Responsibilities

• Support York Research Center operations with multi-crop seed filling, seed preparation and data collection.
• Operate planting, harvesting, and spraying equipment as well as specialized remote sensing gear.
• Maintain agronomic plots and weed control.
• Collect data and assess data quality.
• Assist with experiment planning and mapping.
• Supervise part-time crews to complete field activities per protocols.
• Availability for overtime during peak planting and harvest seasons.
• 100% site-dedicated position.
