Job summary

Produce Solutions, part of Greenvale Holdings Ltd, is recruiting an Agronomist in the West Midlands to grow a profitable portfolio of broadacre and potato grower customers. You will deliver high-value agronomic advice and actively participate in crop modelling and new technologies.

Reporting to the Agronomy Manager, you will drive growth, support grant applications, and identify new commercial opportunities.

Qualifications

• BASIS qualification is essential; FACTS preferred.
• Strong agronomy experience in broadacre crops; potato agronomy preferred.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management; full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Developing and growing a profitable portfolio of broadacre and potato grower customers with independent agronomy support.
• Supporting growers with grant applications.
• Actively participating in crop modelling using internal databases.
• Involvement with internal projects to deliver new technologies and varieties.

Job description

Produce Solutions is one of the leading agronomy and technical services specialising in potato production across Great Britain. We provide agronomic and technical support for potato growers and other fresh produce businesses whilst investing in R&D as part of Greenvale Holdings Ltd.

As an Agronomist, your role will include driving the growth and profitability of Produce Solutions by developing long term customer relationships, delivering high-value agronomic advice and identifying new commercial opportunities in broadacre and potato agronomy.

Main responsibilities

• Developing and growing a profitable portfolio of broadacre and potato grower customers with independent agronomy support
• Supporting growers with grant applications
• Actively participating in crop modelling using internal databases
• Involvement with internal projects to deliver new technologies and varieties
• Identifying, securing and converting new business opportunities e.g. DeCyst sales

Our ideal candidate will have the following

• BASIS qualified, with the ideal candidate also holding FACTS qualification
• Strong agronomy experience within broadacre crops, ideally within Potato agronomy
• Strong commercial awareness and business development capability
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent organisational skills with strong time management
• Full UK driving licence
