I am working with a well-established law firm in Salisbury seeking a talented Agriculture & Rural Property Solicitor or Associate to join their growing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a solicitor with 1-5 years' PQE who has experience or a keen interest in agricultural and rural property law. You'll work alongside a friendly, supportive team advising a diverse client base including landowners, estates, farmers, and rural businesses.

Role Overview

You will be handling a varied caseload, including:

  • Buying and selling farms, estates, and country houses
  • Agricultural tenancies, farm business structures, and succession planning
  • Rights of way, easements, sporting and equestrian leases
  • Renewable energy projects, natural capital, and biodiversity enhancements
  • Estate planning for landowners and families

What They're Looking For

  • 1-5 years' PQE in property law, ideally with some agricultural or rural property experience
  • Sharp technical skills and great attention to detail
  • Collaborative and client-focused approach
  • Ambition to develop through a structured internal progression programme
  • Bonus if you have experience with renewable energy on rural land, farm tenancies, or equine projects

Why Consider This Role?

  • Supportive, down-to-earth culture with approachable colleagues
  • Clear career progression opportunities through a bespoke development programme
  • Hybrid working flexibility, balancing office and home working
  • Strong firm culture with regular social events and team activities
  • Work on high-profile cases with respected estates, farmers, and rural clients
  • Comprehensive benefits including generous holidays, birthday and Christmas leave, bonus scheme, pension, healthcare cash plan, cycle-to-work, EAP, and more

If you're looking to build your expertise in rural law within a firm that values collaboration and professional growth, I'd be happy to discuss this opportunity with you.
