Job summary

The Bedford College Group is seeking an Agriculture Instructor to join the Land-based Education department at Shuttleworth College in Old Warden. The role involves delivering practical instruction across Agriculture, Horticulture and Land & Wildlife programmes, and supporting learner development.

You will manage animal, crop and equipment areas, develop teaching materials, assess learners and contribute to safeguarding, health and safety.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Agriculture qualification with tractor and forklift certificates.
• English and Maths qualifications are required.
• Recent practical experience across land-based sector.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality practical instruction across Agriculture, Horticulture and Land & Wildlife programmes.
• Care for farm animals, crops and demonstration areas and model professional practice.
• Develop learning materials and assess learner competence with feedback.
• Oversee practical areas, equipment, risk assessments and health and safety.
