Lawyers here enjoy genuine flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to develop a rewarding, long-term career within a close-knit and forward-thinking team.

A standout opportunity arisen for a junior solicitor with a keen interest in rural land, estates, and agricultural property work. You'll be joining a top-ranked team at a well-regarded regional firm with a strong reputation in this specialist field.

This is a great move for a newly qualified solicitor or someone with up to three years' post-qualification experience who's looking to carve out a niche in agriculture and rural estates law.

Whether you're coming from a real estate, private client, or commercial background, this role offers the chance to step into a technically engaging and future-focused area of law with plenty of support and development.

The Role
You'll work as part of a highly skilled and approachable team, handling a wide variety of work relating to rural property and land, including:

  • Buying and selling farm land, and rural estates (including complex agreements like overages and options)
  • Agricultural tenancies and occupation rights
  • Rights of way, easements, and boundary issues
  • Equestrian and sporting rights
  • Working closely with the private client team on succession planning, trust structures, and tax matters affecting landowners

You'll have the chance to run smaller transactions yourself, while also working closely with senior lawyers on larger, high-value matters.

You'll also be involved in meetings with clients, land agents, and professionals from across the rural sector - as well as attending events that support the team's business development strategy.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor (NQ- 3PQE)
  • Strong interest in the world of agriculture/equestrian/conservation projects
  • Either experience in agriculture, or a background in real estate, private client or commercial law with a desire to specialise
  • Someone practical, personable and genuinely keen to get to grips with the unique demands of land-owning clients
  • A proactive approach to building client relationships

Why Join This Team?:

  • Clear development path and mentoring from specialists in the field
  • Market-leading salary and benefits package
  • Several bonus incentives
  • Hybrid/flexible working
  • Structured training and support to grow your expertise
  • A firm with a national reputation in the rural and estates sector

If you're looking for somewhere to develop your skillset and grow with like-minded professionals in a forward-thinking, people-first environment - this could be the role for you.
