Job summary

A seed processing company in Pointon is seeking a warehouse operative to join their friendly team. Responsibilities include cleaning machines, bagging and stacking seed, picking and packing products, and general warehouse maintenance. Candidates must be physically fit and confident in confined spaces. A clean UK driving licence is required; forklift license is advantageous but not necessary as training will be provided.

Job description

Overview

Due to an increase in work load and role changes in our current team, we are looking for a warehouse operative to work as part of a small and friendly team at our seed processing plant based in Pointon.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning out of machines (hoovering)
• Bagging Seed
• Stacking seed (using forklift)
• Picking & packing of product
• Loading lorries
• General warehouse maintenance
• There will be some packing into 25kg bags and manual handling, although most of the work is into bulk bags.

Requirements

• It is essential that you are physically fit and must be confident at working at height and in confined spaces.
• Counterbalance Forklift truck license advantageous but general forklift driving experience is favoured. (full training will be given to the right candidate)
• Clean Full UK driving licence required

Details

• Job start date as soon as possible.
• No holidays allowed from 1st August – 31st October (Agricultural Hours)
• 40 hours per week
• Seasonal overtime available
